UNICA 2016-2024
The adventure began in 2016 in the home of José María, founder of the UNÎCA BIKES brand, initially occupying the garage area, with a minimum of tools, but with very clear ideas of where they wanted to go, accompanied by enthusiasm and conviction. We started with the designs and developments of what would be our first MTB bicycle.
Managing the acquisition of the first prototypes in the Asian market was one of the most complicated tasks. The lack of knowledge of the industrial fabric and the anonymity of the UNÎCA brand represented one of the greatest difficulties we have had.
After these eight years, we have 5 models of bicycles basically destined to the practice of our favourite sport: “cycling”. It is worth mentioning the help received from all our customers up to the present day.
Each and every one of the units manufactured and sold has represented an important boost for our continuity 655 units have been manufactured during the different stages of our industrial activity. Today we are proposing a qualitative leap in R&D, applying more technology to our bicycles and also to our organisation. These are changes in the areas of commercial management and marketing, manufacturing and warehouse logistics, which represent an effective help according to the moment, always looking for excellence.
In this new stage, we are expanding our premises in Orfebrería 24 in Palau Solita i Plegamans with a new annexed premises. This will allow us to better adapt our manufacturing processes, in order to provide better quality and better service to our customers.
- ID: the project team, with long experience in cycling, allows us to develop units perfectly adapted to the needs of our customers. We also have a powerful CAD programme that allows us to optimise our designs.
- The finishing and customisation of frames and accessories are carried out in a positive pressure chamber with temperature control. We concentrate the powder and paint residues in automatic collection, in compliance with established environmental standards.
- With regard to mechanical and electrical assembly, we proceed strictly with self-control: all phases are checked, verified in terms of size, torque and functionality.
- We record traceability in the history of each unit manufactured.- Our staff is highly qualified to attend and advise on the main characteristics of the bicycle to be configured, based on the type of routes that our customers usually do: competition or touring.
